The world refers to Africa as “Deepest, Darkest Africa”. They too refer to us as third world, primitive, impoverished, parasitical, and dysfunctional. We are perceived as that continent that needs free hand outs to survive. We have numerous Charity Groups that reach out to assist us in our many dilemmas. Our people are of the poorest in the world.

Our history seems to conclude by evidence that we are unable to stand on our own two feet. Our financial exchange rates across the continent are of the very weakest in the world. Our trade with the outside world is minimal and we are reliant on imports for much of what we require to be functional.

It is, however, a fact that we are the most resourceful continent on the planet when it comes to minerals. With this great wealth that lies under the ground we are in fact the richest continent on the planet.

The principle of cause and effect, or reasons for success or failure, must be visited by us as Africans if ever we are going to lift our Africa out of the hole. The law of reaping what one sows must be analyzed. We need to look at what we are sowing for it is this that is determining our harvest.

We need to be honest and allow the wisdom and counsel of scripture to determine what we will sow into the future so that we can ‘reap a prosperous harvest!’ Our propensity to take offense when good counsel comes needs to be reversed.

Mark 7v13 says that we make the Word of God of NO effect because of our traditions and doctrines; IE our cultures and practices.

This book visits our traditions and doctrines; our cultures and practices because it is they that are causing us to fail – It is they that are making the Word of God of NO effect. We may need to be open to what this book teaches for there shall be an opportunity to defend our causes of failure and thereby remain “Deepest, Darkest Africa”.

It is the definition of insanity to do things the same way and expect different results. I’m sure we all agree – We do not like our results! This book is not insane for it teaches us a new, or the right, way to prosper and become the envy of the world.

Breath deep and read – This book has in it the potential for our deserved success!
