In Matthew 16v18 we see Jesus saying the following words – “I will build my church and the gates of hell ‘will not’ prevail against it!”
80% of all Pastors are no longer in the Ministry within 2-5 years!
Only 4% of all Pastors complete their call into the Ministry!
Most church plants come from church splits!
Most church attendees say they have been hurt by the church.
The intent and plan that Jesus had for His church is that the gates of hell would not prevail against the church; IE that the church would be an unstoppable force that would walk in perpetual victory, destroying the works of the devil, and powerfully transforming the lives of its members.
The early church that we read of in the book of Acts was such a church.
Jesus ‘set up’ His church for this intention yet based on well documented evidence we find that the church is not prevailing; that 80% of Pastors are no longer in the ministry within 2-5 years, and that only 4% of all Pastors complete their call into the ministry.
Most all Pastors talk of elongated seasons of burn-out and having lost hope; they’re just ‘hanging in there’ is the utterance of many a Pastor.
Many ‘failed’ Pastors talk of their consequential marital and family breakdown, and/or that their spouses and children have lost their desire for the church.
Pastor and Church ‘failure’ can therefore be concluded as having reached pandemic proportions.
If Jesus promised the success of the church, it becomes apparent that ‘something is wrong’ with the church today.
This book delves into the biblical reasons for why only 4% of Pastors complete their call and outlines the biblical pattern for the victorious, unstoppable, and life transforming church.
