‘Our’ Choices determine our results: -
Deuteronomy 30v19
“I set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore, choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.”
God is love. Love never imposes itself or forces someone to make a certain choice.
Love presents options and then encourages a person to make the ‘right choice’.
There is one thing God will never do.
God has given man a will, and God will never override man’s will. A man’s will represents his right to make his own choices.
Many people ask how a loving God can send someone to hell? That is an incorrect question for God sends no one to hell. God loves you so much that He will honour your choice of hell if that is where you want to spend all of eternity. God will not
stand in the way of your choices; that is love.
My wife and I have been married for 40 years. We chose to be married. I did not force my wife to marry me, and she did not force me to marry her.
We both have our own will and got what ‘we’ chose; IE to marry each other.
As per the scripture above we note that when we make the right choice ‘we will live’.
Conversely, when we make the wrong choice ‘we will die’ – IE We will get a good or bad result.
These are the result of the choices we make.
This scripture goes on to teach us that our choices will impact our descendants, IE our children, and our children’s children. This is an awesome reason to make the right choices. My choices will affect generations to come – What a privilege.
It is never too late to begin to make right choices, even if I have made many bad ones. I can begin to turn the tide of my life around one good choice at a time.
Joshua 24v15b
“But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
The above represents the best starting choice of all. Joshua chose God and it impacted all his family and all his life. Joshua was an extremely successful man who left an awesome heritage, and it was all because he made the right choices in his life.
One by one let’s turn the tide of our lives around by making one good choice at a time.
God bless, our fond love to you, yours, and all those dear to you –
